  1. Hey, I listened since I went through all of Hepburn's movies a year ago on my blog and was curious to see where we matched up. I am totally with you guys on Funny Face; usually Stanley Donen is a pretty solid director, but I think all of his strengths just collapsed in on himself there.

    I am puzzled why you skipped two of her best performances in Two For the Road and They All Laughed. Two for the Road is probably the closest she ever came to completely breaking her pixie persona, and it's incredibly moving as well. You should check them out if you get a chance.

    1. Thanks for the recommends. Since we only pick 10 films, we have hard decisions in what to narrow down. Of course we try to hit the best known classics and Oscar nods, but it's also nice to choose stuff from early in the career and late in the career to try to encompass as much range as possible. Sometimes it's just hit or miss of what we'll pick.
